Alexandre Mouton House/Lafayette Museum (1122 Lafayette Street)

The Alexandre Mouton House/Lafayette Museum and the Lafayette Public Library present Civil War experts Brad Broussard and R.J. Boutte, who will speak on the difficult lives of the soldiers, both North and South, who fought in the swamps of Louisiana. They will present original letters, diaries and other artifacts from their private collections. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. Note: The Mouton House’s Living History Day, which showcases many aspects of the Civil War through reenactments and other educational programs, will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
